1. What do you think happens after you die?

I think that we go to a place of our own (sometimes collective) creation. For the most part, the Christians will go to Heaven or Hell, the Pagans will go to the Summerland, the Heathens will go to Hel, etc.. I think this continues until our sould have had enough of this experience (which could last for thousands of years, or just a few minutes), and decide to move on to something else. Either another self-created thing, or just to go hang out in the ether and observe for a while, to help out in the spiritual realm, to take a vacation, amuse themselves by being a ghost, an angel, a devil, hang out with other spirits, have a beer with God/dess, take a long nap, achieve enlightenment, or start writing up plans for the next life, if they decide to have one.

2. Do you believe in heaven??

As I said above, I think the people who believe in Heaven have created such a place, and will go to it if they believe they will. Until it no longer serves them.

3. Do you believe in hell??

Ditto my Heaven answer.

4. Do you think you will be judged after you die??

I think the only person who will judge my life after I die is myself.

5. How many people would attend your funeral??

I don't know. I'd like to think those I love will be there, and those that love me. I'd love to be looking down and see someone there that surprises me, or someone whom I know, reacting much more strongly to it than I would have expected. It appeals to my sense of vanity, and wanting to be loved.

6. Would you rather that people cry or laugh at your funeral wake??

Yes! All of the above. Including [livejournal.com profile] gaeasson's answer. That would be pretty cool, too. Necrophilia would be optional. :)

7. What's better? A shot in the head or downing pills??

Pills, I suppose. I'm more familiar with pills, and would know how to do it right, and make it work. I'd probably fuck up shooting myself. Besides, I already have a suicide plan in place that involves pills, in case I get some sort of incurable disease that I don't want to put myself or my loved ones through.

8. What should be written on your tombstone??

I'm not going to have a tombstone. I'm going to be cremated. However, I'd be amused what others could see written there, so I'm going to try out the LJ poll thing when I'm done with this entry.

9. Would you rather die childless or divorced??

Childless. Since I don't have kids, and I'm happily married, it would be status quo for me. If I did have kids, my answer might change.

10. Do you want to die in the morning, afternoon, or night??

Hmmmm.... never really thought about it. I doubt it would matter. But it would be cool to die looking at a beautiful sunrise/sunset, or at the stars.

11. If you had a million dollars to leave, who would you leave it to??

[livejournal.com profile] blckwngdorcl, of course.

12. What kind of flowers do you want at your funeral wake??

Hmmmm... bright ones. Lilacs and roses are my favorite. I hate carnations.

13. On your deathbed, which moment will you most remember??

Although I agree that [livejournal.com profile] gaeasson's answer to this is fabulous, and hopefully is what will happen, I'll probably remember a conversation I had with Baron Samedi a while back, when he told me that when my time came, I would be ready -I wouldn't think I would be, but I would be.

14. Have you ever watched someone die??

Kindasorta. As a nurse, I've been there when lots of people have died. Unfortunately, it was never the sit-and-hold-their-hand kinda thing. More like the, look-in-on-them-know-it's-gonna-happen-soon-but-have-a-million-other-things-to-do-with-the-patients-I-can-help-so-I'll-be-back-later-to-see-if-you're-still-alive-or-not kinda death. That's really really sad, when you think about it.

15. What's the most gruesome death you can imagine??

I don't really wanna think about it. I don't intend to die gruesomely. The Passion of the Christ was pretty gruesome. All the medieval torture stuff. There are a gazillion different ways to die horribly.

16. How often do you think about death??

Not very often, I don't think. I've had a couple of dreams, and that talk with the Baron, and my own sense of spirituality. I don't fear death. I might fear the potential of it being painful in the process, and I might greatly lament for those left behind. But death? No.

17. Is fear of dying your number one fear??

Oops... already answered that.

18. Do you believe in reincarnation??

Yes. I've had a few flashes of past (future?) lives.

19. Have you ever wished someone you loved were dead??

Another answer that [livejournal.com profile] gaeasson nailed. Right now, I've been under the distinct impression for years that my grandfather only stays alive to humor my father, and because he's not in any pain or suffering, so it's a fairly easy ride. I hate the thought of that, so I do wish he would go ahead, for his sake. I'd miss him, though.

20. Do you consider life short or long??

Way too fucking short.

21. Do you think you have a soul??

I think I *am* a soul.

22. Assisted suicide for a terminally ill person is:?

A kindness, if that's what they want. I would think long and hard about pulling the plug on anyone who wasn't able speak for themselves and hadn't previously indicated that that's what they wanted.

For the record, I'd want the plug pulled after a reasonable amount of time, consideration, and divinations ("reasonable" to be determined by the person in charge of that sort of thing).

23. If you were cremated, where would you like your ashes??

Ahhh... I've thought a lot about this. I want a day where I'm naked in a coffin, for the viewing, so people can come and hang (and laugh and cry and cum and whatnot...) Then, that night, I want to be cremated, and my ashes put in a bunch of little vials, preferably the kind that you can wear as a necklace. Then I want some sort of spiritual service the next day (with that song Kiki wrote for Jake and some other person I don't know performed), with all the vials there for people to take. If they took them, they could do whatever they wanted with the ashes. Scatter them, bury them, wear them, keep them, smoke them, eat them, fuck them, piss on them... doens't matter to me, as long as it has meaning to that person. Do this in memory of me, and all that.

24. Would you choose to be immortal, if you could be??

I'd like to be immortal, as long as I could die when I finally got bored with life. :)
