While I'm waiting for the beast to succomb to the allure of the alarm clock, I think I'll write down this dream I had.
I don't think I'll be writing it in the order it happened, but I'll do my best.
First thing I remember was being in a house with the Safe Harbor people (including the kids). The house was an amalgam of various houses I'd lived in with my parents, and I think I saw a cousin or two of mine wandering about it from time to time. Anyway, we were all living there, or at least vacationing there, for the time being. I remember getting on the computer for a while, and watching TV for a while, but there wasn't really anyone around (at least in the same room), so I got bored, and was gonna go to bed.
eloreen ended up crawling in bed as I was getting ready, and I was about to crawl in with her, when
waterfall_sh came in, asking about a window that I'd left up on the computer. She thought it was an LJ entry, and had that "Is there something you'd like to tell me?" tone, but I told her that it was just an informational page I'd pulled up, on bariatric surgery. There was a bed in the next room, sort of out of place, and I sorta tugged at it, and asked where we were gonna put it, rather than leave it disassembled in the kitchen. I think we talked about putting it in the spare room, where there were already 2 twin beds, but I was concerned, 'cause I knew that I really wasn't allowed to keep the house. Anyway, I went back into the room with
eloreen, and
profundis came in. I forget what we talked about, but it somehow made him horny, to the point where I think he and I actually had some form of sex. I forget the details, which is a shame. ;) I don't think I ever made it into bed.
Right about then, I think, the place we were staying morphed into a hotel. We were in Britain - Ireland, I think. Anyway, I could look out the window and see a rather busy landscape, like we were right on a golf course or something. There was a sliding glass door, and it must have been open, 'cause a bird kinda flew in, and I caught it. It didn't struggle much, and I petted it for a little while before I let it go. After that, all I had to do was gesture at birds, and they would come to me, and light on my arm, like hawks, although it was generally the smaller birds. I happened upon another room, and looked out a window, and was amazed at the landscape. It was more what I imagined it should look like, with rolling green hills, and I think there were some mountains in the background (not sure if Britain really has mountains), and dark dark stormclouds and lightning on the horizon. I exclaimed at the sight, and went downstairs to go outside in it.
I stopped at the front desk to get a key for the room, so I wouldn't be locked out. Somehow, though, I ended up in a healthcare section, where they were giving out cards where people staying in the hotel could visit the country's healthcare facilities for free while they were there. I got one of those, too, figuring it could come in handy, and I don't remember if I actually got a key or not.
I ended up at another windowed area. There was this panoramic view, although you had to go from one window to another to get the full effect. I was with John Lee, who was my crush when I was growing up. (You've heard of the girl next door? He was the boy across the street.) I was amazed at the view, pointing out to him that as you looked through the various windows in the set, you got it all... earth, in the form of the hills, the mountains... air, in the form of the stormy winds... fire, in the form of the lightning in the clouds... water, in the form of the raging sea. It was fabulous.
I finally got outside. I ended up more in the golf/touristy area, but I happened to notice a raven. I could tell it was a real raven, and not a crow, and I was fascinated by that. Since it was
blckwngdorcl's totem, I wanted to get a feather from it, so I gestured it over. Interestingly enough, it was wearing a hat, and some decorations on its feet. It was speaking to me, too. I asked if I could take a feather for my husband, and it said to take one from near its feet, which I did, with some difficulty. It told me to give him a message. She said to tell him that when he could no longer see Florida from the coast, it would be time to take action. And she said a couple of other things which I can unfortunately no longer remember. At any rate, in the dream, I wrote it all down on a piece of paper, and wrapped the feather up in it, to give to
blckwngdorcl.
Strangely enough, I got the impression that I should be able to see Florida (or the lack thereof) from the coast I could see on the non-touristy side of the hotel.
Also, in my half-awake state afterwards, I saw the raven in the form of a woman, and the name Naomi came to me.
I don't think I'll be writing it in the order it happened, but I'll do my best.
