Nothing in Particular

bookofmirrorsWell, I've been behind on this thing, and now that I'm actually trying to update, I can't really think of anything I feel like posting about. Certainly, there have been things going on in my life. I suppose I could list those.

blckwngdorcl and I are gainfully unemployed (term used facetiously), and pretty much all of our time has been spent on the eternal job hunt. We've gotten a couple of bites, and we both have interviews tomorrow, at places that would not be our first choice, but I figure we can take the jobs to get an income, and keep looking for something more suitable. We've done the unemployment office thing, and, as is to be expected, they're investigating e-Litigation, who, despite the rumors that the Department of Labor was finally paid, still has no record of either of us as employees. We'll see what happens with that. In the meantime, we weren't paid last week, which, again, given past history, isn't surprising. True to form, Jeff chose to pay the people who work there first, and not pay those who were gone (with one exception). Which, in theory, I would be good with, if I weren't sure he was still living high on the hog and doing just fine while I have to beg my father for money for the first time since October. Compound the fact that Leigh lied to me about the paychecks to begin with after I specifically asked her if Jeff had paid other people and not us, that Gary, when calling about paychecks owed was told, "Don't call us, we'll call you,", and that Brian was hung up on when he called regarding them yesterday. Glenn and I are both owed one bonus check and one paycheck, and in two days, that will increase to two paychecks, not to mention two more upcoming bonus checks, which we've been told we won't get paid (in writing) and are still trying to determine if this withholding is illegal. And, of course, no W-2s yet from January-October. Whatever. He'll get his, and I won't feel bad about gloating when it happens. I want ringside seats.
And, the above rant got me started on something else entirely, and I'm just now getting back to this.
But, I have other things to do, and I'm already late toelorie's.
