As I already knew, [livejournal.com profile] ngtflyer's house is a black hole, which will suck in anything the least bit geeky. I won't even go into all the prettyshinies he has there as far as computer equipment. Add to this his fabulous collection of upright arcade games and pinball machines, including Centipede, which happens to be my favorite, and, if I'm not mistaken, [livejournal.com profile] blckwngdorcl's too... AND he hosts this HUGE FUCKING collection of kickass music of all sorts, 'cause he serves as host for a lot of independent music artists and is more than willing (damn near insistent, actually) to burn lots of CDs of it and give it to you. It's pretty fucking cool, 'cause it's all original shit, very diverse, and no stupid RIAA issues with that type of music. And lots of original animations on his server, also by independent artists who use him for hosting. Truly a geek paradise.

Oh, and he has 2 cats, too.

He pretty much fucking rocks. I hope [livejournal.com profile] blckwngdorcl makes it out of there before he has to go to work on Tuesday. ;)

Hmmm... He said something earlier about coming home to briefly save Paragon City, before heading off to bed. Hrmmm...

Ha! He is beyond saving at this point! Lament for him, but know that he has achieved Nirvana!

Yes, it's true... I'm a sort of an ubergeek. Loft full of games and pinball, place is fully networked, etc.

As to the big music collection, here are a couple of links. All of the stuff is from what is known as the "Demoscene" (I don't host either of these)

http://www.scene.org (I don't host this). You can read all about this sort of underground scene and what it's about, and download some pretty cool stuff. (Not just music, but graphics, audio/visual demos, music in all sorts of formats, and find links to other sites.)

http://www.pouet.net is a site that is mainly demos and intros. Contains forums. You can read and download anything, but must register to post.

Both of these sites assume you are an advanced user and can look in a zip file and decide what is appropriate to do with the contents.

All of it is free to download per the developers/groups/artists that make it. I do have a mirror of the scene.org music archive on my own server.
