Wow.

Just about what I expect

I'm fairly certain anyone that has read any of my few writings or comments that I've made here and there know that I'm pretty much of a conservative bent (I'm starting to seriously lean libertarian now though) and don't have a good opinion of liberal media. Based on what I read (after reading a fair way down into it I just couldn't take anymore) it's just the usual liberal garbage. I mean as far down as I read I never once saw mention of what I consider to be one of the worst presidents in modern history. That being Jimmy Carter. But that is just my personal opinion. Like assholes everyone has one.

I've missed those writings, actually. *shrug*

Actually, it's interesting, 'cause, while I pretty much hate Bush, I also take my own feelings about him with a grain of salt, because I'll be the first person to admit I don't know dick about politics and anything that goes with it. Even if I were interested enough to follow something other than soundbytes I find here and there, and opinions of friends (about which your comment is duly noted), I'm cynical enough to think that none of us, no matter how hard we try to find multiple, diverse, and reliable sources, are ever going to get the real story on anything out of our government.

For my personal view, I figure that, while I don't much care for Bush, based on what little I know, I know there are others who do like him, and if I could get past the fundamentalist arguments, I might find some points I agree on. (I haven't pursued this, admittedly.)

So, when I find an article that alleges to be from sources that are halfway decent, and alleges to have some statistics behind it (and we all know how reliable *those* are ), I wonder if maybe all the naysayers aren't just overreacting to whatever degree. I mean, what presidency HASN'T sucked, or pissed someone off? So, I, with my curious mix between gullibility and cynicism, take notice.

*shrug* I dunno. I don't like the guy. I'm know I'm mostly clueless. My opinion certainly isn't the only one out there. But it's nice to have it validated in internet articles by other people who are likely just as clueless. :)

You know what Mark Twaid said don't you? "There are lies, damn lies and statistics."
