Mostly because the evil beast I sleep with is still sleeping... ;)
1. Have you ever gotten a since of de'ja vu to a place or time, and if so...what do you attribute that feeling to?
I don't really get de'ja vu for places or times, but mostly for events. I don't really attribute it to anything, other than noting mentally that it's occurring. I figure I'm just getting momentarty access to another timeline. I think the closest thing I've gotten to what this question is asking has only happened twice in my life.
The first time, I was pretty young, and reading Marion Zimmer Bradley's The Mists of Avalon. There was a scene towards the beginning where Ygrain (can't remember how it was spelled in the book - it's spelled so many different ways, anyway) had a vision just before Uther came to her in the guise of her husband. They were standing in another place, another time, and it described the scene, and what they looked like at that time, pretty vividly. I remember my whole body just ...resonated with the scene. Of course, I didn't understand it at all, but looking back now, I think I was resonating with a past life that was extremely similar to their flashback. Atlantis?
The second time, I was at work, and watching The Sopranos. (Yes, at that time, my work allowed for much movie/TV-watching.) It was the episode where Tony Soprano went to Italy. He was walking around with (the wife of) the head of the family, and she took him to a cave where the Sybills used to be. Again, my whole body started resonating with it. Again, probably a past life thing.
2. When you meet someone for the very first time and feel like you already KNOW them, what is your thought process as to why? Know them from a past life, familiar energy, ESP, frequency matching, etc...
I pretty much always attribute it to past life connections. I've had it on more than one occassion with
blckwngdorcl, where I'll get flashes of past lives we've had together. I've also gotten visions of other people in past lives, but with no real sense of whether I was actually living in that place and time with them or not.
3. What, in your opinion, is natural magic?
I'd say all magic is natural magic, in its essence. People may access it in less-than-natural ways, but the energy is the same, and can be nothing but natural.
4. Do you believe in singular lifetime ascension?
I've never really thought about it. I suppose it's possible, and might be a lark for the soul, but really, where's the fun in that? Kinda defeats the purpose, I would think... But, one could always come back and do it the "hard" way.
5. What is your preferred way of learning about your spiritual path?
Living, intuiting. I like to read certain things, but I'm very fickle with books, and rarely finish them. LJ is actually a good way, if the people you read make meaty and insightful posts, but you can get the same ping from feeling the wind against your skin. Interacting is another favorite. And being with my husband, on any level.
