I'm sick today...
I usually wake up feeling more or less miserable, 'cause I don't get enough sleep (which is certainly true of last night, as well). Usually, the act of getting a shower, and somewhere along the way of getting to work, I end up waking up and feeling better.
Not so today. Of course, I was more than halfway to work when I figured out I was feeling worse instead of better. I'm the opener every day I go to work, and I knew if I didn't get there to start up the machines, it would fuck with the day, so I kept going. I went in, didn't bother to clock in, checked over and started all the machines, calibrated the chromatographs, and told the nurse manager I was heading home. She was trying desperately to find a replacement for me, but I told her I couldn't stay, couldn't laser someone feeling like I did.
I came home and crawled straight into bed, and have woken up feeling roughly the same - that is, my entire torso is a mass of cramps and sharp pains coming and going. I'm currently drinking some senna tea (although I don't believe that's the problem), and hoping that will help.
simplysakka took some fabulous pics of me and mine last night before we went out to eat (and no, no one else is sick, and we all ate the same thing). Maybe someday I'll post them. I need to reinstall Office on this machine, so I can fuck with the pics and make icons and such out of them.
Anyway, that's my current state of the union.

Date: 2005-04-21 09:26 pm (UTC)I like IrfanView for simple things like cropping, resizing and changing formats.
She could alwasy get GIMP for the more robust tasks.
