Good Morning?
Nov. 1st, 2004 07:24 amActually, I suppose it is a good morning. I'm so ridiculously tired, though. I think I'm coming down with
simplysakka's illness. My throat has been scratchy for the past few days, and I've been stuffed up something horrible. All this in spite of a massive dose of Vitamin C and a even more massive doses of if-I-ignore-it-maybe-it-will-go-away. Well, we'll see.
So, the Universe has come through again, with a new client from ParaQuad, who needs a nightly visit at roughly the same time as my last client, although the visits take longer. This gives me back the extra $350/week (minus taxes and such) that we can use to pay down our debt, but gives me even less sleep.
As promised a while back, here is my schedule, so everyone knows what I'm doing nowadays:
Sunday:
5:00am - wake up and drive
liljuice to work
Ideally, after this, I come home and do my portion of the housecleaning, which includes dusting and straightening the entire house top to bottom, with the exception of the garage (responsibility of the gamers and those who have their offices in there), the upstairs bathroom (responsibility of the husband-creature), and bedrooms and bathrooms that aren't mine. Also vacuuming the laundry room/cat room. What has happened more often is that I'll take a nap when I get home, and then go do these things.
2:00pm - pick up
liljuice from work, if I can't talk anyone else into doing it
The rest of the day on Sunday is mine, if I've gotten my shit together and gotten the other stuff done. Right now, I have pending Core homework, and I try to catch up email and LJ. This usually takes up all my time.
~9:30pm - go to my client's house to do his bowel program and put him to bed. It's about half an hour round trip, for which I'm grateful, but the process takes about 2 hours.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday:
I need to be at work at 10:00am, which means leaving the house at 9:00am, so I try to be up by 7:00am. I clean the litterboxes and any messes the cats have made, I write out a list of things I want
blckwngorcl to do during the day (which he always does, without fail, and for which I am eternally grateful), and shower and such for work.
blckwngorcl drives me to work and drops me off. He then drives to Cosmos to work out, and then heads back home to do his stuff. I work 10:00am - 6:00pm (that's when we close, usually I get out later than that). After that, I walk over to FedEx, where
blckwngorcl is now working. It's about half a mile. I head from there to Cosmos and work out (I'm not consistent on this one, to be honest). If I have time/money afterwards, I run errands and/or go over the the NorthPoint Barnes and Noble and read.
At 9:30pm, I head back to FedEx to pick up
blckwngorcl from work.
From here, I drive to my new client's house.
blckwngorcl takes the car and goes home, and I do my work. He comes and gets me afterwards. This gets me home sometime around 12:30am.
Note that for breakfast, I have a healthshake, which pretty much sustains me through the day, but I haven't figured out in this scenario when I eat an evening meal. I mean, yeah, I have the time to do it after work in most cases, but rarely the money. I can no longer go home after
blckwngorcl gets off work and eat with him. My current plan is to get some food, take it with me, and eat it during the 45 minutes while my client's stool softener is taking effect. Of course, that plan is predicated on the time and money I don't have to buy something to eat, since I'll no longer be able to partake of
simplysakka's cooking. I've tried coming home and eating and going straight to bed. It gives me acid reflux, and I'd rather avoid that.
Tuesday:
Same as Monday/Wednesday/Friday, except it all starts 2 hours later. Unfortunately, this often becomes the day we run errands, so I end up waking up at the same time, in order to get them done before work. If we have time/money, sometimes
blckwngorcl and I will try to go to lunch together.
Thursday:
Wake up at around 6:00am or so, so we can get ready and be in Snellville by 9:00am for therapy.
blckwngorcl goes the 1st and 3rd Thursdays, I go the 2nd and 4th. After this, I go straight to work, and everything else is the same.
Saturday:
This is my only free day. Often spent running errands, trying to have some leisure, and SLEEPING. Note that during the week, I generally am able to sleep from roughly 1:00am to 7:00am every day.
I spent a lot of time yesterday sleeping, too, actually. I'm soooo tired.
blckwngorcl expressed concern the other day, and I told him that if he was so concerned about it, he could get another (different) job. Which is something I've been thinking a long time, but didn't say, 'cause it seemed harsh. And perhaps it was, but it made him think, and he is looking into it. Unfortunately, since we only have 1 car between us, his sleeping schedule has become the same as mine, and he handles sleep dep worse than I do.
I'm grateful for the money, honestly I am... but... I just hope there's an end in sight soon.
