OK... as most of you probably know, if you also have Facebook (since I can update and read that from my phone, and damn near nothing else, which is why I'm HIGHLY behind on LJ and up-to-date on Facebook... and hey, I even post there!), I've volunteered to model for the UofI (and Parkland, but I haven't heard back from them yet) art students.

Well... actually... once I get there... turns out one actually gets PAID for that shit. How cool is THAT?

But, I need a robe to wear between... shifts, I guess. And I have a robe. A soft, warm, cozy pink robe. Which also happens to have current and past (as in, sewn shut by me, who doesn't care what my sewing looks like, since not too many people see me in in) holes, tears, etc..

So I started looking online for plus-size robes, with the idea of something in the satin kimono style. And happened upon a page for cloaks.

Well, HELL. Why didn't *I* think of that???

So, I haven't had a whole lot of luck with my searches, and I know I have a lot of friends here with connections and savvy when it comes to fabulous clothing. I'm looking for velvet and/or satin, 360 hem, less than $100, and available for immediate shipping. Purple or pink preffered, but basically, I'm just looking for people and/or companies that you guys recommend. I might be interested in custom work later, but for now, I need something right away.

Thanks!!!

They don't give enough info as to whether it would fit, yet this would be astounding...

I unhesitatingly recommend Magical Omaha - their customer service is superb and they're a family owned business. If you have questions about whether something will fit, they'll hop in the back and try it on themselves.

And if you change your mind on the bathrobe thing, I love the name of this store!

Shiny! I did find a similar one (I could get it with a few different colors in linings, and was debating between the red and purple) for cheaper, so I'm torn... Thanks!

Those are gorgeous! The ones with the style I had in mind were pricier than I wanted, but looooove those elemental cloaks!
