First of all, I'm like a week behind, and not sure I have much intention of catching up. LJ is a full-time job on its own if you keep up with it. Damn. At any rate, I hope you and yours are all doing well, and if you're not, consider good energy sent your way. (Note: Whenever I send energy to someone/something, I get a sort of "feedback", generally indicating what the outcome will be, or the general disposition of things... doing a blanket energy-sending to my friendslist results in a cacophony. Kinda disconcerting...)

Anyway, same old around here. The Beastie and I had a rare day off together, so we decided to try the way cheap museum at Emory. It was actually quite cool, and we didn't get to finish the whole thing. We plan on going back. Almost as affordable as a bookstore date! :)

(Yep, snow, in Atlanta. 'Bout 3 inches, as far as I can tell. David is snowed in at his lake house [by which I mean they're fine, but don't wanna come here, where it's not], which means I got to have the ENTIRE night off with my sweetie! Hooray!!!!)

So, when we got home, I thought we'd better check the mail, 'cause we hadn't in a while. And I got something, which is the reason for this post. If anyone recalls (actually, I don't recall if I mentioned it here...), I sent a letter, and a copy of this post to Obama after the election. (I also sent one to McCain, without the post.) I kinda wondered if I'd get anything back.

I did. And it's totally a form letter, and totally a stamped signature (and, if the canceled show Commander in Chief is true in this particular detail, then my usual determination of if something's a stamped signature wouldn't work, either, since apparently the President has this automated thing that actually uses a real pen to sign letters, anyway), but seeing as how those letters were the first real letters (as opposed to online canned shit) that I'd ever actually sent to a real politician, and this is therefore the first "real" letter I've received from one, I'm allsortsa squee-y about it.
