Caught Up... Finally

The earliest entry LJ will let me go back occurred on 12/21/08 at 07:55 am, so if there's anything between then and sometime when it's obvious I was caught up (when exactly that would be, I have no idea) that you think I should see, send me a link, or an email, or something.

1. Will you be looking for a new job in 2009?
I will continue looking for new jobs, pray that my (5!) current jobs actually give me enough hours to make a living wage, and keep an eye out for jobs for all my jobless friends, including my husband.
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
Not looking... not opposed.
3. New house?
House, no, unless something amazing happens. Apartment (or, I suppose, rental house), yes.
4. What will you do differently in '09?
I'm not sure. I'll think about it.
5. New Year's resolution?
Attend Alchemy.
6. What will you not be doing in '09?
Never say never, but I think I can reasonably assuming that I won't be engaging in murderous activities, or eating human babies.
7. Any trips planned?
Various trips to Indiana to visit my family, and another one that gets mentioned in a question below, so I'll wait.
8. Wedding plans?
Nah. Still happily married.
9. What's on your calendar?
Not much. I plan to be more social... and oh yeah, the job thing. I'm also due for a mammogram (my first), but I'll need insurance first.
10. What can't you wait for?

11. What would you like to see happen differently?
I'd like to see the job situation improve, but that's going to start sounding like a broken record soon. So I'll stick with more self-awareness and willingness to change those things about myself that I feel need improvement.
12. What about yourself will you be changing?
Aw, shit, didn't mean to answer that early.
13. What happened in '08 that you didn't think would ever happen?
I left my day job, and somehow ended up not being hired by anyone for 3 months. And when I *was* hired, no one gave me hours. I truly *never* expected that to happen. I'm a nurse, for God's sake!
14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about?
I'd like to think I'm always nice to them.
15. Will you dress differently this year than you did in '08?
Not really.
16. Will you start or quit drinking?
I don't drink enough to do either.
17. Will you better your relationship with your family?
It's pretty good already. Mask level is mostly working for me right now.
18. Will you do charity work?
If something comes up that strikes me and falls within my time/money budget, sure.
19. Will you go to bars?
Don't really care for bars, but I won't rule it out, either.
20. Will you be nice to people you don't know?
I pretty much already am.
21. Do you expect 2009 to be a good year for you?
Ummm... if I say that it can't be worse, will I jinx myself?
22. How much did you change from this time last year till now?
I've stood up for myself, and taken myself out of a toxic situation. This had a lot of negative repercussions, but I'm really much better off.
23. Do you plan on having a child?
Not this year, and only ever if I or my mate becomes independently wealthy.
24. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now?
While I don't plan on dumping anyone, I'd like to think that there's room for more, even if only online. Also, see below.
26. Will you be moving?
Yes, to the Champaign-Urbana area of Illinois. So, new friends, new home, new lotsa stuff.
27. What will you make sure doesn't happen in '09 that happened this year?
I'm not sure I can control that. I don't want to get myself in another toxic situation, though, and I hope I'll have the self-awareness and courage to recognize it if it happens, and not stay there for 2 years this time.
28. What are your New Years Eve plans?
The Beastie and I went to Dreamland, and also stopped by the Pinball Wizard. I was tired. Very, very tired.
29. Will you have someone to kiss at midnight?
Yes, I did. It was lovely. My favorite husband.
30. Wish for 2009?
Improvement, in all areas, and a positive moving experience.
