OK, here's the deal. You are given $1,000,000 to do with as you see fit. List the first 10 things you'd do with that money.
Bonus Question: What would you be willing to do for that $1,000,000 if you were required to perform a single favor in exchange for it?

Date: 2008-11-24 07:12 pm (UTC)Assuming it's tax-free......
1. Pay off ALL my debts to creditors. (~$15K, I think)
2. Pay my father back for him supporting me, to varying degrees, for the 8 years I've lived in Atlanta. (~$250K... it's probably much less than that, but damn, the man deserves it!!!)
3. Pay Pam, for Glenn and I. (~$120K)
4. Pre-pay 2 years worth of rent/utilities. (~$63K)
OK, so that leaves... $552K
5. Go to Emory's BSN program. (~$84K)
6. Pay for Glenn to get the degree of his choice from a local school. (high estimate of ~$168K, in case he picks somewhere expensive like Emory)
7. Take every class offered by Animal Spirit Network. (~$20K)
8. Take Michael Harner's Shamanic Studies course. (can't find a cost... let's say ~$50K)
This leaves $230K
9. Buy/Build a house in Illinois (complete guessitimate on sod house on large portions of semi-farmland... ~$150K... and that's a high estimate, which should include furniture and all that)
10. Totally play with the ~$80K that's left. Clothes, electronics, that sorta thing.

3.) Pay off some of my parents/MiL/sister debt
4.) Savings
And I'm not sure what my limits would be if I could take care of the people I love. I wouldn't hurt anyone or commit a crime, but I don't really know.
Thank you for this btw.
I love thought experiments.
