OK, I haven't read LJ in weeks again. I'm sure there's a lot of interesting stuff I'm missing, but I just haven't had the time and/or the inclination at the same time. I almost feel guilty posting - y'know, expecting others to read what I have to say without giving them the same consideration... but, nonetheless, just a few quickies.
I took my first animal communication class. I'm still sorta processing it, and many of the things that happened are very close to my heart, and I'm inclined to say that the experience is more adequately expressed in person than in words, and I'd rather not write about it until/unless I can figure out a way to express how meaningful it was to me in this medium. I'll be happy to discuss it over coffee, though. Bottom line is that it was a positive experience, for both the Beastie and I, and, while I'm still very shaky and unsure about my abilities outside the classroom, I can definitely say that everyone in the class seemed quite successful in connecting to the animals. I'm not sure I'm ready to throw out my services yet, even on a volunteer level. I need to continue to work and process on my own a bit. I'm both scared and eager to start, though.
Also, I know it's short notice, but if anyone is interested, and available tomorrow, there's a possibility of receiving a Core Energetic therapy session (free of charge) in exchange for allowing the class to observe the session, and discuss techniques and such after you leave. If anyone's interested, please email me ASAP at KLAlbertini@GMail.com. You can scope out the website at http://www.core-energetics-south.com/. This is somewhat of an open offer, since next year, we'll be needing even more volunteers, and we meet quarterly for classes, so if anyone wants to try it out, feel free to get on the list, as it were.
And adding what's below just 'cause I thought it was pretty cool.

Date: 2007-04-28 12:06 pm (UTC)Let's go for it! If you could send me a picture of each animal (KLAlbertini@GMail.com), and include name, gender, and whether they're living or dead, I can go from there. I'll try to get to it in the next few days, and I'll send you what I get, and you can give me feedback on my accuracy.
Thanks!
