According to the handy-dandy ovulation thingie on my profile page, I am now on day 26 of my cycle. I'm noting this (and hope to do so consistently) in order to try to keep track of such things.

Ok... did I miss something? Are you trying to reproduce?

I remember my doc telling me that a woman can only conceive 3 days a month... I think it's day's 11,12,13 or day's 12, 13, 14... Years ago, my first husb and I tried to have a kid... I was on fertility pills, and had to keep track of my days... what a headache.

Should be 12, 13, 14, I believe (with a liklihood higher for girls earlier and boys later). Most natural family planning teaches a longer fertile period, mostly for a just-in-case scenario, although I think there are studies that bear them out.

This is all presuming, of course, that all women have a perfect 28-day cycle, which is SO not the case! (That's why the rhythm method doesn't work.)

P.S. Just read a couple of your LJ entries... if you can tolerate the Catholocism running through the teachings, natural family planning offers a lot of great insights on when to conceive, as well. When I took it, it was taught by the Couple-to-Couple league. Google might turn up some things.
