OK, I just found out my foot is broken, and I'm probably going to have to have surgery. I used to work for Paul Spiegl, who is one of the top 10 orthopedic surgeons in the country, but it would seem my insurance doesn't cover him. So far, it's looking like I'll need to do Resurgens. Anyone have any input on particular doctors there, good/bad/indifferent? Or any other doctors you recommend? (I can check insurance later.)

I dont know what Resurgens is but OUCH! I'm sorry to hear this hon. At least you know what it is now and will get more pain killers :P Stay off the foot; I know how headstrong you are, stay off that foot and let it heal!!

Put Glen in leather and make him your manservant for a week or so.

HUGS!!

First off, my condolences on the broken foot. Any idea how you did it? And how long has it been this way? Is that why they have to do surgery?

Secondly, I have and always will recommend Dr. Jeffrey Wener. He is an awesome orthopedic doctor and just generally terrific all around. He removed the ganglion cyst from my wrist a number of years ago, and he helped me with both plantar fasciitis in my feet and chondromalacia in my knees. If I ever broke a bone, I'd call him immediately. So if the Resurgens docs don't work out, you might try him. If you need his number, call me at work on Monday. I've got it in my work rolodex.

Thirdly, thanks for the advance debt payment. Your thoughtfulness allowed us to purchase a new pair of lenses for [livejournal.com profile] wyzard_vyrnahnn today. He is now in need of bifocals, and they went ahead and put him in trifocals since he uses the computer so much.

Good luck! If you need anything, let me know. Having a broken foot is TOTALLY the suck.

*eyes husband thoughtfully* He would look HAWT in leather... ;)

Strangely enough, the doctor said I could still work and stuff, if it wasn't hurting me at the time. *shrug* Maybe he figures I can't do any more harm at this point, and I've been walking on it broken for all this time... I'll keep ya posted in my own LJ. :)

Thanks, I'll add him to my list of people to check out. And it wasn't really advance. Just on time for a change. :)
