I'm up much earlier than I expected to be, especially after last night. Yesterday was Sedona's company holiday party, which was held at Altobelli's Piano Bar, which sadly doesn't have a website. The food was fabulous, and the entertainment awesome. Thus far, the best party we've had, in my opinion. I recommend the place, if you're up Alpharetta way. On an aside note, after chastising my husband for making a date on the night of the party, I realized I had made one, too, and had to cancel. I didn't realize I'd made more than one until I got a voicemail reminder. Pot, kettle, oops. Heh.

After an entirely too-long span, I finally got my hair cut again. I trust my stylist enough to sit down and let him have his way with me; the result has me looking an awful lot like Six from Battlestar Galactica (not the color). I'm heading over to the Dreamland loft today, and might perhaps be able to persuade my lovely host to snap a pic or two of the results. I'm looking forward to whatever we do.

I now own a robe. Keep in mind, I'm morally opposed to robes, and I don't recall ever having owned one that didn't come as part of a nightgown set, usually something very peignoir (sp?) like. Robes indicate a modesty I simply don't have, and really have never had, so I refused to own one. But then, last year, Sedona got this. ZOMGthefluffy! I mean, you just wanna crawl into this thing and bask in it. It took a year for the thing to show up (no idea why - I think they were just slackers in ordering it), and now I have it. Mine's pink, and warm, and fluffy, and I'm wearing it as we speak. The Beastie has a sage one just like it. I can now stay warm and mostly naked, even when the bastard has the air conditioning on in December. Also, if you happen to follow the link above to see how much the website charges for these robes... well, let's just say the markup is FAR MORE than double.

I'm starting to forgive myself for some things, although it's still hard some days. I couldn't say what inspired this; it just seems to be a gradual shift in my thinking. I hope it continues. And, now that I'm more in line with what I had said would be when I woke up, I need to do a couple of things around the house (cat-related) and get ready. Happy days, all.
