blckwngdorcl was up till around 4am, and presume that lunenoire was, too, so I can't expect the joy of their company (or lunenoire's fabulous Sunday brunch) anytime soon. It also means I can't fold laundry yet, since the only good place to do that is in bed. (Normally, I could fake it and do it in the living room, but right now, things are all topsy turvy for the move.
Speaking of which, here's the current situation.
Our housemates have found a place, and put down a deposit, and are good to go, for which I am happy for them. :)
We've looked at several places, and made several calls, most of which have not been returned. Once it's a reasonable hour today, I'll get on the phone and make a bunch of calls, to see what other options we have, or narrow down the search. I'm trying not to be nervous. This whole thing has been serendipitous up to this point, and I really feel the Universe is going to pull through on this one.
There is one house that we're looking at, in Chamblee, which is too small, but doable, and we've fallen in love with it. Not sure how that's going to pan out, but it feels like a good match. We're crossing our fingers on that one.
So, basically, we're back to square one on that. If anyone knows of anyone who's willing to rent a home for $1000/month or less to 3 people and 7 cats, please pass on the information.
So... otherwise, I'm bored... can't pack, can't fold laundry, can't watch TV, and I'm already bored with this, and not feeling introspective like I was Wednesday when I made more posts (and meaty ones!) than you could shake a stick at.
