The green of the earth His pillow
The purple of the sky His blanket

His hair the trees, and the plants
Twining endlessly
The creation of the world

Watching the sleeping God lie
His breath the rhythm of life
Rising and falling
The cycles of the year

Watching the sleeping God lie
His body in repose
Still and eternal
The night sky

Watching the sleeping God lie
His dreams on His face
Dancing in celebration
The laughter of children

Watching the sleeping God lie
Perfection in Simplicity
And I am moved to tears
