bookofmirrorsWell, my fever is hovering around 100 today instead of 102 like yesterday, and I'm feeling a little better and more alert in general. I'm hoping this leads to feeling up to showering. I've felt too much like shit to do so, and not doing so is just icky, so it's sort of a double-edged sword. I think I'd be up to folding laundry today, which would include the towels I need to shower, so I'll wait for the sleeping blonde beast to wake up and carry the clothes upstairs.
I don't think I mentioned it, but my charge nurse called me last night to apologize for being short with me on the phone earlier. She said she wasn't really upset with me, but with the person who didn't leave her the message that I wouldn't be coming in. She asked if I was going to stay out the rest of the week, and I told her I hoped not... although I know that today, I shouldn't work or do anything else, so even if it got better tomorrow, I should probably still stay home... *sigh* I'm starting to cough some stuff up, which is a good thing, if highly unpleasant.
What sucks is, I have enough money to pay the bills now, and not enough health to do it. (I don't do checks - money orders and cash only, so paying bills means leaving the house.)
*shrug* Well, anyway, that's the state of my union. Hope others are doing better.
