I keep reading all these posts about the Decomp... and they keep talking about it being ...tomorrow??? I'm looking at my Google Calendar, and it's not on there anywhere! And considering that's what I use to keep my life in order....

FUCK. I *KNOW* I put it in there... like WEEKS ago.

And Kathleen just asked me today (er, Friday, I guess it's technically tomorrow already...) if I was working Saturday... I told her yes, that I didn't have any plans.

OK....

A - This is like second time that I *know* of that my calendar has lost something... and I've suspected others, but I wasn't positive about those....

B - I don't believe in coincidences. There's part of me that's scared to take the plunge into an actual Burner event, and I can't help but think that there's some connection.

So...

Those of you on my friendslist that are going... I'm assuming this thing lasts all fucking night, and me getting there after midnight isn't an issue? 'Cause otherwise I have to decide between the two... and I'd rather not have to cancel either. (Well, I'd love to cancel work, but geez, now I've committed myself.)

Getting there after midnight prolly won't be a problem, but some of the more unique things that will be going on will be dying down a bit.

If you could get there around 10ish, you have a better shot at really enjoying the experience, since it is your first... you burn virgin you. ;)

You have my curiosity piqued now. Why are you scared to go to a burn? I have to say that admission surprises me a bit. You always came across as someone who enjoyed the social aspect of events and it don't get much more social than a burn. Mind you I've only been to Alchemy both year and no other burns but I do plan on correcting that as soon as I can.

Heh... long story, and having just gotten in, I'm too tired to explain. Maybe I'll make a post about it later... It's not anything like "Burners Ate My Baby" or anything. :)

Please do. I really am curious as to the reason. I know I'd love for you to come to Alchemy. The first two years were a blast and I don't expect futures years to be any different in that regard.
