Well, I did essentially nothing all weekend until Sunday, and I feel better, but I don't feel well. A lot of things went on this weekend that were taking up the majority of my mental and emotional facilities, so I didn't get some things done I wanted to get done (like writing an important email - you know who you are).

Things are mostly OK in that realm, with only one of the things that was weighing on me this weekend still on the burner, as it were, but even that has been much alleviated. I'll try to get to the other stuff soon.

Fact is, I'm not entirely sure I'm well. I'm gonna head to work this morning, and we'll see. I'm coughing and wheezing a lot, and still stuffed up. I'm using my inhaler a few times a day in the past several days. Usually I can go weeks without it. This doesn't bode well. I took my temperature this morning. 98.7, which is actually kinda high for me this time of the morning. I'm taking the thermometer with me so I can keep an eye on it. If I end up going home today, I'm going to the doctor. This is RIDICULOUS.

Anyway, that's a quick update on where I'm at. Later!

Suffice it to say, I went to work for a few hours, and kept checking my temperature, which climbed steadily as the day went on. When it hit 101.3, I left to go to the doctor. Sadly, I don't feel all that bad, and could have kept working, but at that temp, I really thought I was being irresponsible, both to myself and to my co-workers and clients.

He said I have pnuemonitis, which could have gone into pnuemonia had I not come in. He put me on some pretty high doses of some pretty strong antibiotics (Keflex 500mg 3x/day), plus some Diflucan (I already have a yeast infection, so the antibx are just gonna make it worse), and more asthma medication. Really, other than the achiness and the tiredness, the only symptom I'm really having is not being able to breathe. Pesky thing, that.

Anyway, while I was there, somehow the subject of CFS and fibromyalgia came up. Not in connection with me... I don't remember how we happened upon that subject. Anyway, he said new research says that they're actually related to one of the lesser-known herpes viruses, although in his experience, his patients don't want to hear that. Not that I blame them. Anyway, I know some of the people on my list have those conditions, so I thought I'd post that as a public service announcement, as it were. I did Google it, and found this article, which seemed to support that. I imagine anyone with that would want to do more extensive research, of course.

Anyway, I am tired, I am cold, and I am going to bed now.
