Cleanups, Part Two
OK, got a little emotional in the last post (and there's NOTHING wrong with that, I might add!), so I decided to make this more benign questionnaire into a separate post. :)
1. Were you named after anyone?
Not that I'm aware of.
2. Do you wish on stars?
Hmmm... not really, at least not that I take seriously.
3. Which finger is your favorite?
Ooookaaaay. I suppose it would be a tie between index finger (useful, powerful) and middle finger (for obvious reasons).
4. When did you last cry?

5. Do you like your handwriting?
If I'm taking my time, with a good pen, on a good surface, yeah. My handwriting is very eclectic. If I see something from someone else's writing that I like, I incorporate it. I haven't done that in a long time, though. I'm pretty satisfied with it as it is.
6. Any bad habits?
Hmmm... eating too much, doing things without conscious thought (which pretty much covers the first thing, and any other bad habits I have).
7. What is your best CD on the shelf?
Hmmmm... that really depends on my mood at the time
8. If you were another person, would you be friends with you?
I think I would be. But I'd ask my advice more, 'cause I know I'm pretty fucking smart and intuitive, and I know I've never been wrong when it comes to my insights on situations. ;)
9. Are you a daredevil?
Ummmm... have you ever driven with me? But honestly, I think that's in the eye of the beholder, as it were. I don't usually feel like a daredevil when I drive, or do other things. I generally have a sense of what's safe and what's not. I'd like to think that I can cultivate some daredevil qualities in that scariest of all endeavors - self exploration/exposure.
10. Do looks matter?
On a grand scale, no. I mean, there will be some sense of asthetics that are different for everyone, and they'll naturally gravitate to an asthetic that they like, but I think it would be sad if people limited themselves based on that. For me, it's not so much looks, as energy/presence, but if I had to categorize something that way, it's not really a look, per se. It's more of a hygiene thing. If you look dirty, or if you have some obvious problem that I perceive as being a result of poor hygiene, I'll tend to find that unattractive.
11. How do you release anger?
Sigh. Not well at all, and not nearly enough. Usually in therapy, but even then, it's like pulling hen's teeth. I'm a big repressor. I have, happy to say, though, gotten over most of my passive-aggressive and self-destructive tendencies.
12. Where is your second home?
Not sure I have one. I do love Champaign, Illinois better than any other place I've lived, though.
13. Do you trust others easily?
For the most part. People are generally innocent until proven guilty, unless I get a vibe about them that says otherwise.
14. What was your favorite toy as a child?
A little stuffed black cat that I called Sabrina, after the neighbors black cat. I think that same neighbor might have gotten in for me, but I don't remember for sure. Actually, this came up not too long ago in a conversation with my mother, and she said that's what she would have said, too.
15. What class in school do you think is totally useless?
Hmmmmmm.... been so long... Nothing is truly useless, I don't think. I mean, calculus was pathetically useless for me, but wouldn't have been, for, say,meadowhawk. It might be nice to tailor the classes a little more.
16. Do you have a journal?
I haven't used a paper one since blogger/LJ.
17. Do you use sarcasm?
Often, and I've been told it's fairly hard to spot.
18. What is attractive about the person who sent this to you?

Beauty. However I define it. :)

lol Looking at the previous answer that I didn't get rid of till just now, I am reminded that I got this fromfeygirl. So, to answer question 18 here, I'd have to say that she's just overall very physically attractive, with this delightful presence that is both childlike and carefree, and very wise.
Oh, and nicknames. Harkening back to the daredevil question, I've been called The Black Angel of Death and Lady Death behind the wheel of a car. I used to go by Quib, but I haven't done that in a long time (although my Illinois friends still call me that). K'La started out as a nickname, based on an acronym.

Oh god... I don't know. I have a major fear of heights. I might do it as a means of conquering that fear.

No. I do that when I put them on the next time.

8, give or take, depending on the brand. Actually, I buy Birkenstocks, so whatever the European equivalent of that is...

Bright colors. Purple, cobalt, red... that sort of thing

My first tongue kiss was on the bus, with a guy named Forrest Small, who was a resident at a boys home for incorrigible types. I liked bad boys, but he so wasn't my type. Not that I knew what my type was back then.

I'd like to say I remember the date, but I don't. I know it was my senior year of high school, so we're talking 1986 or 1987, 'cause I was 18 at the time. We lived in Illinois, but we were visiting back in South Carolina, and I went out to visit a friend, Jody (Danny) Codespoti. We'd always had strong feelings for each other, and we made love out on the nature trail of the high school. I still remember basically what I was wearing, and him pulling away from me at one point, saying, "GodDAMN, woman, where'd you learn to kiss like that???" :)
