Personally I'm an omnivore that leans heavily towards the carnivore side. I have found though that since I've really gotten into Indian food (both eating and cooking it) that I'm more interested in veggies than I have been in the past. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE veggies. I just prefer lots of meat in my diet. And when it comes to meat I hope to one day do what my wife and I have talked about and have enough land to raise some cattle and sheep. Growing up we raised our own cattle and never bought beef at a store. Needless to say that was really tasty beef on our table. We took good care of them and let them graze on their own but made sure that they had a constant supply of sweet feed and alfalfa hay. We also bottle feed them until they were old enough to be weened. Needless to say we had some pretty fat cattle. One drawback to this though is the fact that raising your own is definitely more expensive than buying it. For me though I'll happily pay the extra in order to get that level of quality and control over what I eat.

I do have a couple of questions for you. Why won't you eat foie gras? Will you eat lamb? With the exception of my wife who is an unusual case I've never understood eating lamb but not veal unless it's a texture thing. I understand some people just don't like the texture of veal.

Being in or near Atlanta I do believe you have one advantage I wish we had up here in north Alabama. I think yall have a Whole Foods down there. If we had one here I'd probably do all my shopping there.
