There Was a Little Girl...
OK, so I was over at
Spy_Isis and
ToguSpyder's yesterday (also meeting the potentially LJ-less Hilary, and running into
Dai_Syn), hanging out. Partially just to hang out (I don't see them nearly enough, and they kick ass!), and partially to borrow the book Curly Girl.
OMG. I think I had already been primed for this book by reading accounts on my friendslist of people who've gone shampoo-less, but after reading it, I'm totally pysched about trying this. The author is clearly knowledgable about hair and its properties, and has many positive things to say. On one hand, I think it's cool she doesn't specify any brands of products to use, but on the other hand, now I have to do research and find products that have the "good" ingredients and don't have the "bad" ingredients. I'll get around to it. Anyway, this is the coolest thing ever. I want to buy a copy for my hairstylist, my mother (a cosmetologist), and myself. Of course, gender aside, this is also the perfect thing for
BlckwngdOrcl, and I also thought about
That_Sakka_Girl and
IndigoSkyNet, and
Strega42.
Once I get everything in place, it's supposed to take 2-3 weeks for your hair to recover, so I'll give an update on how it goes.
Spy_Isis has cool hair, though. :)
And yes, I did leave my shoes there. I go barefoot so often, I hadn't noticed. Gives me an excuse to visit again. :)
